Zellige is a traditional Moroccan art form consisting of geometrically shaped handmade colored tiles set into plaster. Originating in the 10th century in Morocco, zellige has been used to decorate mosques, palaces, and homes for centuries.

Our tiles are entirely handmade in our workshop in Fes, Morocco. Our 70 maâlems (master craftsmen) cut and assemble each piece by hand using centuries-old techniques, ensuring every tile is unique.

Zellige is durable and easy to maintain. Clean regularly with warm water and a soft cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners that can damage the glaze. Seal the grout annually to protect against moisture in wet areas.

Yes. Our zellige is suitable for both walls and floors, indoors and outdoors, and for wet areas such as showers, hammams and swimming pools. It is not frost-resistant, so for freezing climates we advise using it indoors or discussing the project with our team first.
